  i'm far outclassed by others here when it comes to  mechanical knowledge - 
but body tag  decoding I can help you  with.
 
VIN = Corsa Convertible 1966; built at Willow Run; the 60,001st  vehicle 
built there in '66.
BODY PLATE:  
  Build date 4th week of Feb; Interior metal painted  blue
  '66 Corsa Convertible; Willow Run; the 1,903rd Corsa  Convertible built 
there that year 
  All vinyl bright blue interior trim; Marina Blue ext  paint; White folding 
top
  Options that required body modifications:    Typically two digits each, 
first a number (1 to 5) 
  then a letter, although they may appear to be all  strung together. Not 
sure about how to   
  read what you show since it's not in that  format.
