<VV> bad front wheel bearing

I've just bought a front wheel drive Buick Reatta that has a whiring noise in the front end which I think is a wheel bearing.
Turning the steering wheel to the left, and the noise goes away. Straight ahead the noise is noticible. To the right, the noise increases.
 Which bearing?
