My electric fuel pump is mounted on my 63 FC on the frame in front of the 
firewall. I have a switch that I turn it on only when I need it. I never 
run it all the time. It works well when the truck has set for a long time 
and need that extra boost to get going. Then I shut it back off. Works well 
for me.
