The 195/70-14 shouldn't be fitted on a rim any wider than 6.5
inches. I have Pirelli P400 on the Corsa in 195/70-14 on 6 inch wide
rims and Yoko AVID T4 on the Monza also in the 195/70-14 size. I
like Yokomahas better - quieter, better wet traction, smoother ride
(imho ;-) ).
