any dealer with a 'parts locator' link can lookup any part number. it will then show what dealer has that number part in inventory.
there are limitations.. only dealers who have bothered to enter the number into their nventory will be shown; only dealers who are linked to the nationwide locator will come up on the search. and lastly, only part numbers that were shipped to dealers as service and replacement parts will be out there. a oil bath air cleaner caution tag, for instance, installed at the factory, is not likley to have been ever been ordered by a dealer, and while the assembly manual will show 1 part number for whole front suspension, that's not the way it serviced by the parts department.
good luck hunting!

Subject: [SCG] Finding parts nowadays with GM's parts # fr. assembly manual
Is there a source for parts where one can search using GM's parts number as found in the Corvair Assembly manuals?
Thanks!
