<VV> Location of part numbers on Powerglide

I have a grease covered 1965 (?)  Powerglide and want to do some "surgical"
archeology so that I can identify my PG from the Junkyard Primer.  I tried
doing it by flashlite and screwdriver as a scraper but fear I will miss the
whole cocktail hour without some idea where the number is.  The casting
numbers are profuse but avail me nothing in the Junkyard Primer.  Is it
hopefully a stamped number and not a tag but where is it found.
