<VV> Fiero Engined Corvair

I know this may be sacrilege but.....has anyone ever fitted a Fiero V-6 
engine to a Vair or used the whole drive system?  Reason for the 
question is that a local car club member offered one to me today.  Seems 
they pulled the engine intending to install a V-8 for drag purposes and 
now he has the V-6 sitting around and thought it might go well in  the 
Corvair  Feasible? Not? Any advantage? Problems? Just curious.
