<VV> Urgent Ignition cutout question

If everything dies, lights etc... this may be the problem:

In the engine compartment at the left front there is a large wiring
connector. It connects the engine wiring harness to the body harness. Pull
it apart and check for corrosion or signs of overheating. The largest gauge
red wire will likely be the culprit. If necessary (and it usually is) remove
the two ends from the connector, strip them and solder them together outside
the connector. This is known as "bypass surgery" in the Corvair world.

yea, Vairily ... Shaun

Subject: <VV> Urgent Ignition cutout question

My 63 Spyder ignition cuts out for 5-10 seconds. The gen light comes on and
then problem goes away and the car runs again.

This may happen 1or 3 times on a 50 mile trip.

Can the ballast resistor do this?? Poor grounds To engine??

Need advise B-4 I replace parts!!!
