Hey guys,
It's been a little while since I gave y'all an update, so I'll toss a
condensed version out there to ya...
Over the summer I managed to hook up with a "vocational rehab" group that
works with the Social Security Disability people (for those newbies out there, I
broke my leg rather severely in March 2004 and have had 3 surgeries on it
since, and I'm now able to walk with a cane most of the time... anyway, back to
the story)... they had me take several tests to find out what kind of work I'd
be suitable for (I've sold car parts for almost 20 years, and have always
wrenched on my own stuff, but all that requires standing, which I cannot do for
more that 30 minutes without a bit of pain)... well, they've decided I'd be good
in the CAD-/-drafting-/-architecture field, so I'm now taking classes at
Elizabethtown Community & Technical College just up the road from here... they (the
Voc-Rehab guys) pay $250 towards my books (via a voucher, so if the books are
less the money goes back to the Voc-Rehab, if it is more, I pay), and they
also pay $1,250/semester... tuition at ECTC is $1,380... and $130 came out of my
pocket (generously placed there by some dear friends... thank you!)...
The classes I'm taking are "Basic Drawing", "Beginning CAD", and
"Architecture"... for my basic drawing I would LOVE to do some drawings of something
Corvair... maybe the rear wheel bearing from a 64, maybe even a magnesium fan...
but I'm wondering, are there any drawings available like that? Something with
dimensions???
Anyway, if someone has something like that, and could make a nice copy (or
email the file to me?) I would really appreciate it...
Thanks again... for everything... now, back to your regularly scheduled
programs...
