<VV> Gas gauge problem

Disconnect the wire from the tank connector. Use another wire to connect 
this wire to a good ground. The gage should change state (go from full 
to empty). If it does change state, the gage and wire to the sending 
unit is good. If it does not change state, sheck the wiring from the 
sending unit to the gage and the gage itself.

The sending unit should change resistence with the level of fuel. 
Typically 0 to 90 ohms (early and late are different). Check with an 
ohmmeter. Slosh the tank to simulate different levels.
