Sure it would.
@ $2.65 a gallon right now (SC)
Conservative 22mpg ($.1205/mile) vs 40mpg ($0.0663/mile)
Difference of $0.0542 per mile
14,758.91 miles is all it would take.
One year payback? Most CEOs will fund that in a heart beat. Higher gas
goes, the quicker the payback.
Of course, none of us drive properly to get 40mpg consistently.
