Bill
Thanks but that one is to modern for me on the 65 vert project
I may use that idea on a the 68 as it most likely will be my driver car
I mod but for the 65 vert project it has mostly been corvair parts from a Little newer corvair model like 67-69 buckets (more comfortable) 67-69 steering column with built in flashers. 68 AM/FM center mount 4 barrel on the 66 140 hp Corsa engine with dual exhaust (still have a set of beautifully rebuilt carbs and all 66 style linkage with lock outs to go back semi stock- )quick steering arms (just cause I came across a set for reasonable) ,66 Corsa Dash, 66 Monza Black Glove box , Corsa Shifter cover, Posi rear and saginaw 4 speed from a 67, single wire 65 amp internally regulated polished alternator (self modified corvair & 75 nova alternator splice) z28 rims - mini light wheels and factory wheels and caps depending on the mood. lots of Larry's Corvairs and California Corvairs Chromed & rechromed parts.
And thanks to Ebay , Clarks & JR almost every NOS chrome trim part
I'm not a purest but for this car I am not going to change anything that can't be changed back easily later like cutting the dash for a modern cd Player and I am keeping the original parts so if someday I want stock original (not sure why but) I can put it back.
I'm not going concourse but am planning on showing around the local area. and most non -corvair people just don't know the difference

Mike:
Another nice mod you may consider is a modern self dimming rear view
mirror. Easy to install and it works so well. Eliminates the metal support
for the stock mirror and glues to the windshield. I got real fond of this
feature on some modern cars and installed one on a car that did not
have one.
I have these for sale for $20 plus shipping from Raleigh, NC. I have used
each one so I know they work.
Best regards, Bill Loftin
