Right, although the "correctness" is probably an issue to a purist, although 
I personally prefer the thinner 66-69 version.

I have noticed that, new from Chevy, some have a chrome-like shine, and 
others have a burnished, almost dull sheen to them.  Although this is 
probably just a manufacturing thing, and not a different part #, I have 
returned some (back in the day) for the "shinier" versions, which is just 
the "luck of the draw" mostly.

I've noticed this about most aluminum trim, from Chevy, at least, but I 
don't know if it's a Ford or Chrysler thing too ?
