Speaking as one who once owned a 68 Nova, 4-door with a straight 6.
This car came with NO sway bar on the front in the cheapie model. Car
wallowed like a tugboat in choppy water....scarry bad handling! I did pull
a sway bar off a V-8 car and installed it........much better, but still not
even close to as good as an Early Vair without a sway bar.........something
about the design of that Nova just was not quite right. Had a 76 Pontiac
Ventura years later and it wasn't much better........

In addition to three Corvairs, my wife and I own a '73 Nova 350. The
Corvairs beat the Nova hands-down for handling, but oh the torque of
that 350 V-8! They're both neat cars in their own way.
