some of you oldeer vair owners will probably remember the Model A heater.  It was just a  casting that slipped over the top of the exhaust manifold, and there was a circular hole about the sixe of the bottom of a beer can that had a covwer that you slid open to let in the heat.  You didn't want to keep your legs to close to the opening as they would get mighty hot.
