Again Mark, the factory design is not defective because 100,000 miles 
plus down the road the bearing fails. How many other cars have much more 
expensive repairs needed sooner than that? At worst it's a 4 hour job to 
replace - then you can do it again in 20 years. This, in my mind, is far 
from "defective". In Linda's 67 it is still running the original fan 
bearing after 175,000 miles and 40 years. Lon
