<VV> intake manifold improvement?

Hi,

I've been doing some mild porting on a pair of heads 1965 95 HP) following 
Bob Helt's book, and I've been wondering about the benefits of working on 
the intake manifolds.  Specifically, is there any point in radiusing the 
sharp edges where the air/fuel charge takes its first turns?  I mean the 
sharp edges you can feel on either side if you put your finger down into the 
manifold.  I don't want to second-guess the designers as I attempt to clean 
up casting flaws!
