It is really not all that difficult, once you get the glass with channel out
of the car.  Carefully clamp the glass in a vise (gently!  use a towel on
either side) with the channel on top.  Now you can carefully pull the
channel off the glass.  You will need new channel liner material to install
new glass - should be able to get from a local auto glass repair shop.

I posted earlier about any tips to remove the side glass on an early coupe.
I did not get any responses at all.  Surely someone has done this before.  I
could use some help... anyone?
