Aaahh ! Therein lies the rub as someone once said !
Keep the price low enough to keep us from looking elsewhere for alternative
fuels.
If the price gets high enough, then the research starts to look less
expensive in comparison, so bring the price down so we stop looking.
Then we get complacent and the price goes back up, until we start looking
again, then it comes back down.
The figured us out long time ago !
Trick is to keep looking even while they play their little game...
