Craig Nichol did just such a conversion, he's very happy with it and 
has some data (fuel milage and head temp) to show how well it works.  
Haven't heard from him in a bit, but maybe he's lurking out there and 
will post.  The bore/stroke ratio and cam timing of the GM V6 is 
comparable to the Corvair, I would choose it over most other OEM FI 
systems for that reason.
