I agree with you.
But, not all mechanics are Godzilla, some are.

Mechanics do not paint parts as that is not part of the flat rate 
repair. Mitchell, Motor, etc do not seem to think this is an important 
step to do, so the mechanic doesn't want to do it for free.  I do have a 
mechanic friend that does paint parts when needed, but he charges for 
his time accordingly. Price shoppers avoid him like the plague. He has 
decided his customer base will not be made of price shoppers.

All my fleet is beyond the sell by date.
Heck, most is beyond the junk by date!
