i once had a corvair come in for a skip after the guy put in new plugs at  
home.  he was sure i would call him with a valve job estimate. turned out  the 
scope found a shorted plug( i figured he might have done in a plug wire or  
something).  i pulled that plug and it had a tiny goober of antiseize  across the 
gap.  i pulled them all , wiped most of it off them , and put  them back in.  
boy was he impressed!
be careful how much you put on them.
