I hate to be part of the yelling on this forum, but I kinda want to come from the other side. Cuase no one else is.

I've worked at two different Jiffy Lubes that would be glad to bring the owner downstairs and show them what was going on.. We also have big windows so people can look out. We yell out things to each other loudly because we want the customer to hear whats going on (plus it's a good show for people.)

We wrote down the oil level upon arrival, and checked the oil after service. We *ALWAYS* checked the air in peoples tires...even if they were non-customers coming in for free oil (top-offs)

At the places I went to, if I didn't do the top ball joints, my manager would have bitched at me. if you can't reach it from the bottom, you were supposed to give it to someone on the upper bay to do it. Thats ALWAYS how it was done as far as I experienced.

Jiffy Lube is a business, they have to make money, thats why the air filters are expensive-they don't want to do it for free. you wouldn't either.

People aren't supposed to stand around in the bay, cause the last thing they need is for a customer who isn't paying attention walk into one of the bay holes and break something. I've been there, and it wasn't fun. I knew better and did it anyway, but some people don't. Thats why.

Thats my side of the story.
