i only use a spray copper type sealer on most surfaces on the engines now. i 
use the cork composition gaskets on valve covers with thin silicone 5900 
loctite black on them. the older shiney silicones just do not compare at all with 
this stuff. it goes on much smoother and stays put better. it is a low gloss 
product the really works great.just dont go nuts with any sealers. if you can 
let them dry before putting oil in or running etc you are much better off..but 
who has that kind of time in life?
