Be wary if you have a "fleet" of vehicles, vairs or otherwise, and move into a development like the one my parents moved into recently. The "parking nazis" are trying to keep people from parking on the street, for nearly ANY reason. The association can make and enforce the rules because the streets are private rather than being owned by the city or county. Here are the recently revised rules /Steve Oxford

AMENDMENT TO DESIGN GUIDELINES FOR
XXXX COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
The Architectural Review Committee for XXXX Community Association
hereby approves the following amendment to the portion of the Guidelines entitled,

"Vehicles. Parking:"
Garages are intended for storage of vehicles owned by a homeowner.
Additional vehicles (operable and utilized trucks and cars only) may be parked in
the home's driveway. Parking on the street is strongly discouraged and could
result in towing if parked during snow removal efforts. The streets within XXXX
are private, and owned by the Community Association.
No abandoned or inoperative vehicles are allowed to be parked or stored on any
visible portion of the property at any time except during transport to or from the
property, and then only for a period not to exceed 24 hours.
No vehicles may be parked on any lot outside of the driveway area (i.e., on rock
beds, etc).
