After I cut a couple of coils off my front springs I had the same problem 
with height. What I did was drive over the rumble strips before the railroad 
tracks, then over the tracks. Turned around and did it again. It all settled 
in and I had the ride height I wanted and expected. You probably won't see 
my method in any book. All I can tell you is that it worked in my case.

My son and i rebuilt his front suspension, but when we let it down, it did 
not compress at all.  It is sitting up way high and there is no bounce. 
what did we do wrong?
