<VV> Cylinder Head Temp Gauge info please

Forgot my crib notes at home.. 

Diagram shows 2 wires on meter....meter has 3 posts? AFAIR 

Which ones? 

Needle stays past 600 with or without key....direct short and / or no power 
to gauge? 

T-mister is fine....90 deg. day....read 5500 ohms at end of short lead... 

Blk / light green wire.....what voltage should I see...key on....not 
connected to T-mister? 

Thanks for any help....getting too lazy to pull the dash if I don't have 
to...gg
