<VV> EM Rear Engine Mount

Hey Guys,
I've been driving my 63 Spyder for two summers now and yesterday looking 
at it from the rear while at a Show and Shine it appeared that the 
engine is sitting lower than in the past.  Carefully lifting on the tail 
pipe, all seems tight.  However, there is a vertical split in the rubber 
of the rear mount.  What am I seeing here?  What do the two bolts 
through the rubber actually attach to?  Don't have my books at the 
moment.  Any suggestions?
