Thanks for all the input on cleaning the metal and the POR 15 and
Hammerite.  You guys are great.  Thankfully, we are not facing rust
through.

POR's web site doesn't state how much you need ?

Kid is out of the trunk....tried to talk me into keeping it for a pet.
I just NEVER let him do anything.  <g>

If POR-15 isn't your cup of tea via either price or availability, 
give Hammerite a try.  Pretty good stuff.    Works well.   Hard to 
complain about what I've experienced with it.

And, it won't cause you to become ill and die.

Or...  she grabs the snake and says "thank you, how sweet" in front 
of witnesses.   Embarrassment works.
