<VV> No Corvair - Emergency Generator

I'd like to get opinions from the VV brain trust for an emergency generator.  Since I have well water, being without power (and water) for a couple days creates a hassle, not to mention the refrigerator & other appliances.  I'll probably get one with a battery start, but would like to one that is quiet as possible.  I have heard that the Honda engines are quieter than others.  If anyone has a recommendation please reply off line.
