Lets not forget that the superior engneering of the Corvair includes:
1. The travel of the belt causes a "thump" noise when it breaks because it will strike the engine cover.
2. The idiot light will come on because you need a 2nd confirmation that a belt has broken.
3. By turning on the heater full blast you have an extra distance to get off the road (not much) before overheating your engine.
