i would use por15 or something like that instead of the thick stuff. it wont 
lift and catch moisture. just get rid of the worst loose rust then coat it.  
it will "convert" the rust and stay nice.
i am looking for 2 good or new wheel brgs for fc. let me know price and 
where. i am putting a repacked one on for now.  i think its thje one  bob marlow 
replaced in colorado in 83? as written in the communique...
