Was all about engines and marketting. Consider that the 1967-69 Z-28 was
rated 290 hp at 4800 rpm (what it made at 6000 was a whole bunch more). Why
? Because the SS-350 (what they wanted the raging hormone set to buy) was
rated at 295 hp.
Did same-same with L-88 427: 430 hp. Street tripower: 435 hp.
