<VV> dist. troubles

Went out this morning with a cooled off head, and double checked everything.  Pulled #1 plug, had dist in correctly.  Pulled cap off and verified wire position to rotor location, and found it was retarded quite a ways.  I guess my static timing was not as close as I thought.  I advanced it up a bit, and got it to fire.  Set the timing properly and it runs much better than before.
