<VV> Fuel Pump woes?

Let's see, I was going to buy a new electric pump, but some don't like it,  
and I'd have to add some kind of fail safe device. Then I was going to just buy 
 a new mechanical pump, but those mostly leak  -  -  or they  don't, I can't 
tell which experience to believe. So I decided to bring the extra  $50 with me 
to Las Vegas, when I go to the SEMA show. I'll drop it on the craps  table - 
it sounds like the odds are in my favor, or, at least, the same as a new
