Back in the early days of synthetic oil, lots of "interesting"
companies were creating some interesting and horrible concoctions,
Which is one of the reasons Amsoil (the first successful one) had a
hard time getting established.  The bad rep of those who had gone
before really set things back.  So lord knows what was originally in
there. Amsoil, btw was the first to pass API and SAE muster.
