Smitty Says:   Along about 1941 Chevrolet had an optional steering wheel that was a ball bearing mounted circle maybe 5" diameter, running inside a race which was part of one of the spokes.  Across the center of the circular race was a bar or hand grip for the driver to grasp.  It didn't go over too well because the heavy steering prevented all but the most muscular from using it for parking and it was not ergonomically handy to steer on the road with it.  Today it is most likely the most sought after option for chevy collectors of that era.
