<VV> Pertronix

In theory, one wire, the resistive wire, supplies the coil with 6 volts
while running, the other goes to the starter solenoid to give the coil a
full 12 volt jolt while cranking. One can normally expect a volt or two
drop when the starter is engaged and this helps give the coil enough juice
to provide a nice fat spark when starting.

I know that you guys on VV know how to connect a
Pertronix correctly, but there's an even better
explanation in this month's Communique. The article
expains details, except that it doesn't mention that
there are TWO wires to the plus side of my coil, one
wrapped in some sort of fiber insulation and a regular
looking yellow wire.
