<VV> Collector Car Insurance

Pretty much, everyone has similar restrictions. Some variance from
company to company, but some restrictions are insane. I've had a run-in
with just about every one of them, and have concluded that such policies
aren't worth the paper they're written on. One company even told me that
even my mechanic couldn't test drive my car after working on it!

And don't EVEN get me started on the mess that's called the state (DMV)
drivers' records. I once was refused by a company because (as I later
found out) the state had my records so screwed up that even I didn't
recognize it! For example, they had one accident down as TWO separate
accidents, with two different charges. And the truth was that I had had
one accident, and cited with a different (from either of the state's
listings) charge, for which I had to appear in court two weeks later.
The only thing the state had correct was the date of the accident and
the court date, but they listed both as two separate accidents. Bizarre.
And just TRY to get the public records straightened out! Yea, right.

The only thing I know to do is to just HOPE that your records are
correct. But don't bet on it.
