Has anyone got a home remedy for restoring some flexibility to dry
irreplaceable rubber parts. I have intact rubber boots that go on top
of the b pillar on a 4 door that are intact but very dry. Ideas????

yes....I was in the printing business at one time and found a product called Blanket Saver for restoring rubber printing blankets when they got depressions from paper dust. It softens and expands rubber.
I used this to stop a wing vent wind noise and worked very well. This product it actually paint stripper like ZipStrip.
You need to be careful when using this so not to cause other problems that I do not believe I need to mention for obvious reasons.
Anyway test the rubber first (use a small artists brush- flat about 1/4" wide) in a tiny area and only leave on a few seconds and wipe off.
I did this on some hardened window weather seals on my sedan with good success doing small areas at a time. I did eventually replace them with new seals from a vendor that leaked worse than the old ones ever did....but I expanded the new ones with the same method.
Please test first because some rubber can melt because of the polyvinylchloride content. And cover your paint!
