I just reread the original message after I sent my reply, and saw that
the harmonic balancer had been replaced already.  It still should be
rechecked for alignment of the marks as it is possible for a rebuilt to
come apart due to a manufacturing problem.  Also, when the new balancer
was put on, was the key in the crankshaft?  Try loosening the bolt that
holds on the balancer and see if it turns easily (without turning the
engine)
