<VV> faulty gaskets or not

I keep reading pros and cons about California Corvairs but I don't 
read anything from
Jeff or California Corvairs about the possibility of a run of bad 
gaskets. It would seem to
be a meaningful post to VV to clarify this possible problem. It is 
important to all Corvair
owners to know the facts on matters that can cause a very expensive 
engine failure if the
product has a defect or known problem with a specific production run. 
I expect the same from
all of our Corvair vendors.
