<VV> Corvair v. Falcon

All the time I was growing up in the 60's driving Corvairs, I thought that
the Ford Falcon was the worst example of a "me too" car ever produced. It was,
in addition to being butt ugly, nothing more than an experimental platform
for what became, ironically, the Mustang.
I couldn't wait to get next to one on Woodward Avenue and show them what a
Corvair looked like from the rear.
I just looked up a reasonably nice one on E-Bay:

Bids are around $10K at the moment, and I wouldn't trade it for my '65 Corsa
convert if it was free.

Without turning this into a needlessly long message, I am advocating that we
unify in developing and furthering an attitude that tells the
front-engine-only muscleheads that we are driving a car of superior technology and
performance, and deserve to be reckoned with.
I believe that we need to continue to promote and support those who are
trying to drive up the image and thereby the prices of Corvairs, and hope that
the trend will eventually provide a wider fan base for our special and unique
Chevy.

Thanks for letting me open my air vents...
