Maybe to reinforce the importance of a good ground...   the charge of
electrons in the dc circuit actually move through the * negative * side of
things, usually thought of as ground, as most of the time thought of as just
( in iowa terminology )  " teats on the boar " .

A simile in medical jargon would be that the negative wires are the arteries
( the feeding circuit ), and the positive wires are the veins ( the return
circuit ).

This observation is free to use for any beneficial public purpose; a brain
surgeon was on duty during this post and no neurons were damaged in any
manner.
