Lon Anderson mentioned using a socket and a hammer to re-do the pinch  
fit on the steel heater fans to make them work like new.  I have used  
this method on my last three vairs (two of which are still in the  
fleet) and have 5 years on the one and a winter on the other, both  
converted to hi-speed motors.  They are working fine.  The plastic  
replacement was an OK idea, too, but now that it appears that they  
have gone away........
