The vent extensions will help...does he have the helper springs on the 
floats?

Unfortunately the Rochesters are not suited for ROUGH surfaces.....they do 
not work well in blowsand...let alone hard dirt, etc...bowl area is too small...

I've run a FoMoco 2bbl on a common centermount manifold for decades....in 
sand.......the only thing it won't do......run upside down!  ggg
