<VV> 140 hitching/missing SOLVED!!!!!!

I would like to thank Harry Yarnell....again... for the most logical answer.

I checked my timing light. The advance knob got turned. Which is why I
thought the distributor had moved.... A Darwin moment?

I turned the knob back to 0, adjusted. Runs fine. Sounds a bit more rumbly
out of the tailpipe too.

I want to thank all of you who responded quickly with some VERY good
suggestions.
