In all my years of working on corvairs and selling parts for corvairs i have never used nor sold a viton seal for this aplication and i have never had a problem with sealing of oil after replacing an old seal with a new one,i also have never had a customer complain of a oil leak after replacing their seal with a premium non viton oil seal.In my own opinion from years of experience the extra expense of viton in this application is a waste of money.
