<VV> broken clutch cable

I am amazed that no one has suggested an emergency clutch cable 
repair kit to be carried in the
car. It only requires a short length of cable and two small cable 
clamps. The other obvious thing about
this thread is to remind all to put a small amount of grease on the 
clutch cable ball where it fits on the
clutch lever. You should also check to see that the ball and yoke are 
not binding because the yoke is
squeezed together too tight.
