I put engine flush into the oil, and let the engine
run with the valve covers off. as it was running I
used an oil squirter with some cheap oil in it, and
got the rockers wet.
after a little while of running, it seemed to me maybe
it was working, but I didn't want to be fooled by the
oil I had just squirted, so I waited.
I came back a little later, and took a pushrod tube
out of each side and they were in fact, in the right
way, as I had thought.
I started the car back up...and oil started dripping
from the dimples.
It worked. Gunk brand Motor Flush works, folks! I'm
going to do the same thing again tonight with some
cheap oil, ...just to make sure I've cleaned it out
well. After that, I'm adding in the good stuff I've
got, and I should be good to go.
They were just gummed up, I spose. they're starting
to free up nicely.
yay!
